The role
We are seeking an experienced Facility Security Officer to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity. This is a lead-level position focused on establishing and maintaining our security programs as we scale our operations. You will be the primary point of contact for government security agencies, ensuring our infrastructure and personnel remain in full compliance with all regulatory requirements while protecting classified information.
Core responsibilities
- Personnel Security and Clearance Management: You will oversee the entire clearance process for our team, including managing applications, conducting briefings, and handling foreign travel or contact submissions.
- Policy Development and Compliance: You will implement and maintain security policies aligned with NISPOM standards, perform regular self-inspections, and manage our insider threat program.
- COMSEC Custodianship: You will serve as the primary authority for classified equipment and materials, managing keying infrastructure and ensuring strict accountability for all COMSEC devices.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of eight years of experience in industrial security, covering physical, personnel, and operations security.
- Proven expertise in establishing facility clearances and certifying classified areas with the DCSA.
- Deep familiarity with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and experience managing SAP or SCI programs.
- Direct experience working with DoD and intelligence community customers.
- Proficiency with cryptographic equipment, including STE and TACLANE.
- Required: An active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is mandatory for this position. A previously completed Counterintelligence polygraph is preferred.
Compensation and benefits
The annual salary range for this role is $118,000 to $156,000. Your final compensation will be determined based on your unique experience, qualifications, and the specific requirements of the role.
