About the Role
We are looking for a mission-driven Fabricator to join our production team on a full-time basis. This role is based at our Mission Engineering Center, where you will use your technical expertise to support our national defense objectives. You will be responsible for managing fabrication projects from the initial blueprint stage through to the final product, ensuring that every component meets our high standards for precision and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate specialized machinery, including CNC press brakes, pipe and tubing benders, and plasma cutters, while performing MIG, TIG, and stick welding on various materials.
- Take full ownership of your fabrication projects by interpreting technical drawings and blueprints to ensure every build is completed accurately and on schedule.
- Collaborate closely with your teammates to maintain a high-performing environment, focusing on process improvements that reduce waste and enhance overall production efficiency.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should have a strong background in technical services and engineering. Specifically, we are looking for the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in fabrication, with a focus on CNC machinery, plasma cutting, and welding.
- The ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings with ease.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain high performance while working under tight deadlines.
- A proactive attitude and a proven history of effective team collaboration.
Location
This position is an on-site role located in Hampton, Virginia, within the United States.
