We are looking for a Senior Expert Security Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. Since our founding in a German farmhouse in 2007, Jimdo has grown into a global business with over 250 employees across 15 countries. We are dedicated to supporting microbusinesses through our AI-powered website builder, online stores, and various digital tools. As part of our security team, you will help protect our infrastructure and empower our engineers to build secure products for our users.
Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce robust security controls to ensure our policies and procedures are effectively integrated into the technology environment.
- Enhance our cloud security posture within AWS and Kubernetes while managing vulnerability remediation and threat analysis.
- Automate security workflows and compliance checks using tools like Python, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines to improve overall security assurance.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional experience in cybersecurity roles.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, or OSCP.
- Deep expertise in cloud security, specifically with AWS and Kubernetes, alongside strong skills in Infrastructure as Code.
- Proven ability to perform vulnerability management and penetration testing.
- Familiarity with major security compliance frameworks including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
