What is this role?

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. This is a senior-level position where you will take charge of our technical direction. You will be responsible for guiding our engineering efforts, ensuring our architecture remains scalable and secure as we grow.

What will you do?

• Lead the design and development of high-performance, secure systems specifically for our co-branded credit card products, handling everything from initial creation to long-term scaling.
• Architect end-to-end solutions that prioritize high availability and disaster recovery, while carefully selecting the right technologies to meet our platform requirements.
• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to turn business goals into technical reality, while mentoring our engineers to foster a culture of innovation and continuous growth.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in building complex financial systems. We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• Over 10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years spent in a technical leadership role.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms and microservices architecture, with a preference for AWS.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Python.
• Extensive experience working with relational databases like MySQL and Postgres, as well as No-SQL options like DynamoDB.
• A proven track record of building and maintaining transaction ledgers within the fintech domain.
• Excellent communication skills in English, allowing you to bridge the gap between complex technical concepts and non-technical stakeholders.
• A high level of autonomy and a strong sense of ownership over the systems you build.

Bonus points if you have experience with financial data reconciliation, public-facing APIs, or production technologies such as Terraform and Kubernetes.
