We're excited to welcome an experienced engineer who enjoys building robust systems, guiding others, and constantly refining their craft. At Pushpay, a high-growth New Zealand SaaS company with offices in Auckland and the United States, our teams create mobile apps, management software, and giving technology that helps churches, schools, and nonprofits stay connected. You'll join a collaborative group of engineers, SREs, QA specialists, UX designers, and product managers who work closely to deliver real value to customers around the world.
What you'll be doing
- Design, build, and maintain scalable web and mobile experiences that power modern engagement and payment features, working within our microservices architecture.
- Coordinate project timelines, manage commitments, and partner with Product and Design teams to deliver features smoothly across squads.
- Mentor fellow engineers, contribute to technical decisions, and help grow the team's capabilities as opportunities to lead expand.
What you'll bring
You bring at least five years of professional software engineering experience and are proficient in .NET and C#. You have hands-on experience designing and delivering solutions, and you apply a pragmatic mindset to create modular, scalable code. Familiarity with API design and consumption, along with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices, is essential. Practical commercial experience with Docker is desirable, and exposure to Identity & Access Management using OIDC, GraphQL, React, or TypeScript is a plus. You communicate comfortably in English, value continuous learning, and are ready to collaborate across cross-functional teams in a hybrid setting based in New Zealand.
What you'll get
- Hybrid work with the flexibility to work from home two days a week and adaptable hours that support a healthy work-life balance.
- A $3,000 annual training and conference allowance to support your personal development.
- Paid parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers, plus full-rate holiday pay upon return with no waiting period override.
- Ten days of sick leave available from your first day, without the usual six-month accrual wait.
- Advanced equipment, healthy food and drink options, free annual flu shots, regular social events including Friday in-office happy hours, and employee-led volunteering opportunities through our Pushpay Cares program.
