At Pillar Technology, we take pride in being a leading provider of digital experience consulting and development. Our team is dedicated to creating meaningful digital products, and we are currently looking for a talented Experience Architect to help us continue this work. You will have the chance to collaborate with a diverse group of software developers, product managers, and various stakeholders to research and build compelling digital solutions for our clients.
About the Role
This is a full-time, senior-level position based on-site. As an Experience Architect, you will serve as a bridge between user needs and technical execution. You will be responsible for guiding the design process, ensuring that our digital products are not only functional but also deeply centered around the people who use them every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a champion for the end user throughout the entire product lifecycle, working closely with cross-functional teams that may be new to user-centered design practices.
- Plan and lead both qualitative and quantitative user research, then translate those findings into actionable insights, personas, and scenarios that drive product development.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to support rapid, iterative design cycles and ensure the final product delivers genuine value to the customer.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with a strong background in design and research. To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or Graphic Design.
- At least 5 years of experience as a key contributor on a UX or design team, specifically within the full product development lifecycle.
- A solid portfolio that showcases your ability to plan mobile or web applications, turn complex data into clear knowledge, and communicate effectively within a multifunctional team.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Axure and Sketch.
- A deep understanding of Agile methodologies and experience creating artifacts like user stories and story maps.
- Proven ability to conduct ethnographic research, usability testing, and heuristic reviews to inform design decisions.
Location
This position is located in the United States.
