Contractor Senior Remote Network Engineering Python Excel VBA API OAuth Authentication API Integration REST API SSO Solutions English Remote work

We are looking for a Senior Excel Plug-in Developer to join our network and support a leading multinational investment holding company. You will help automate their stock trade analysis by building a custom Excel plug-in that integrates with trading platform APIs to streamline complex data workflows.

Responsibilities

Design and build an Excel plug-in using Python that connects to Bloomberg systems via REST API.
Create a deployment-ready application that supports SSO for seamless user access.
Develop robust business logic to manage multi-layered API calls, including data looping, validation, and automated re-sending.
Ensure the tool effectively processes various spreadsheet inputs and returns multiple data points accurately.
Collaborate directly with the client's business and technology teams to align the solution with their specific operational needs.

Must-haves

At least 5 years of professional experience in back end development.
Proven track record of creating Excel plug-ins, with proficiency in Python and VBA.
Strong understanding of plug-in deployment and infrastructure, with an eye toward future cloud-based scaling.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, specifically regarding complex API logic and data integration.
Strong communication skills and the ability to overlap your part-time schedule with PST and UK time zones.
Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

Prior experience working with financial data and stock trade analysis.
Direct experience with Bloomberg API integration.
Familiarity with OAuth and token-based authentication protocols.
