We are FLYR Labs, a Series D startup dedicated to revolutionizing the travel and transportation sector. By utilizing advanced AI and machine learning, we are replacing outdated legacy systems that have long hindered the industry. Our growth has been remarkable, with a 20x increase over the last three years, and we are now looking for an innovative Executive Vice President of Engineering to guide our 300+ person team. What you'll be doing
- You will define and execute a comprehensive engineering strategy that scales our platform, integrates AI and machine learning, and drives significant growth over the next several years.
- You will lead, inspire, and manage our diverse team of over 300 engineers, fostering a culture defined by excellence, collaboration, and constant innovation.
- You will oversee operational excellence by implementing robust development processes, establishing accurate forecasting, and ensuring we hit our release targets with a high degree of reliability.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in B2B environments, particularly where products require complex professional services implementations. You will need the following qualifications:
- Extensive leadership experience, including a proven track record of managing and scaling engineering teams of 100 or more people.
- Expertise in navigating M&A activities from an engineering perspective, including successful integration efforts.
- A deep understanding of how to build customer-centric engineering practices that incorporate feedback to improve product performance and user satisfaction.
- Strong proficiency in English and the ability to work in a hybrid environment, with on-site requirements in San Francisco on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
