We are FLYR, a late-stage startup dedicated to revolutionizing the travel and transportation sector. By utilizing advanced AI and machine learning, we are building the premier software platform for commercial and revenue-generating applications. Our mission is to modernize an 800 billion dollar industry that has long relied on outdated technology, and we have already achieved 20x growth over the past three years. We are looking for an experienced executive to lead our engineering organization of over 300 professionals as we continue to scale our impact on major airlines and hospitality companies worldwide.
What you'll be doing
- You will define and execute a comprehensive engineering strategy, focusing on platform scalability and the integration of AI and machine learning to drive our growth over the next several years.
- You will provide visionary leadership to our global team of 300 plus engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- You will oversee our talent acquisition and development efforts, establishing clear career paths, role leveling, and recruitment frameworks to ensure we continue to attract and retain top-tier talent.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in B2B SaaS environments, particularly where products require complex professional services integration. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Extensive experience managing and scaling engineering organizations of 200 plus people, including the leadership of multiple VPs.
- A proven track record of managing M&A activities within the engineering space.
- Deep expertise in operational excellence, including the ability to design development processes that consistently hit release targets and accurate forecasting.
- A customer-centric mindset with a history of partnering with product and customer success teams to improve Net Promoter Scores.
- Fluency in English and the ability to work in a hybrid capacity at our San Francisco office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
