Are you a creative professional who thrives on bringing people together and crafting unforgettable experiences? At Bridgewater Associates, we are a premier asset management firm dedicated to providing unique insights for the world’s most sophisticated institutional investors. Founded in 1975, we operate as a community of independent thinkers committed to excellence, radical truth, and transparency. We invite you to join our Culture and Talent Department, where we work to shape the employee experience and foster a vibrant, inclusive environment. If you are passionate about community building and want to contribute to a culture that values innovation and meaningful relationships, we would love to hear from you.
What you bring
As a Senior Event Planner, you will join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity based in the United States. You will be responsible for the end-to-end production of approximately 150 events annually, ensuring every detail aligns with our high standards and organizational goals. Your role involves deep collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to deliver seamless, high-quality community and social gatherings.
- Manage the entire event lifecycle, from initial conceptualization and budget preparation to final onsite execution and post-event feedback.
- Negotiate contracts with venues and service providers while coordinating all logistical elements, including audiovisual equipment, catering, and event décor.
- Utilize project planning tools to maintain timelines, manage RSVPs, and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders.
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced professional with at least five years of expertise in planning events of varying scales. You should possess a sharp, detail-oriented mindset and the ability to think creatively under pressure. Proficiency in PC applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential, and experience with event management software is highly valued. We prioritize candidates who demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to build lasting relationships with both internal and external partners. While a bachelor’s degree is preferred, holding a CMP or equivalent certification is considered a significant advantage. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, capable of solving problems on the fly, and willing to travel domestically or work evenings when event schedules require it.
What we offer
We are committed to helping our employees build fulfilling lives and careers, which is why we offer a comprehensive compensation package. The wage range for this position is $110,000 to $175,000, which includes both your base salary and a discretionary bonus. In addition to competitive pay, we provide a robust suite of benefits designed to support your well-being and professional growth.
- A 401k plan featuring a generous employer match.
- Flexible paid time off to ensure you have the necessary balance.
- A hybrid work model that provides flexibility in your daily schedule.
How to Apply
If you are ready to take the next step in your career and contribute to a unique, idea-driven culture, we encourage you to apply. We look forward to reviewing your background and discussing how your skills in event production and community building can help us continue to create meaningful experiences at Bridgewater.
