We eliminate the need for complicated apps or account balances, allowing drivers to charge their vehicles with ease. By offering custom-branded hardware integrated with powerful API-driven software, we help brands enhance their customer engagement across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. We are a team driven by innovation and a desire to build the future of energy, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for creating reliable, user-friendly technology.
The opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated Senior EV Charger Testing Engineer to join our team in Santa Monica, California. This is a vital, full-time, on-site role where you will be the bridge between our hardware and software, ensuring that our deployments are robust and reliable. You will play a key role in our growth by applying a process-oriented mindset to our testing strategies, working closely with our product and engineering teams to maintain the high standards our customers expect. As we continue to scale, your work will directly influence the durability and performance of our charging solutions in the real world.
A day in the life
- You will develop and execute comprehensive test plans for our charger hardware, payment systems, and networking components to ensure total system reliability.
- You will conduct hands-on diagnostics and troubleshooting, using tools like multimeters and load simulators to identify root causes of hardware or software failures.
- You will validate firmware and software updates in real-world environments, providing critical feedback to our developers before we roll out new features to our network.
Who you are
You are a seasoned professional with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in hardware or software testing, ideally within the EV charging, power electronics, or embedded systems sectors. You possess a deep understanding of electrical systems, networking protocols, and firmware validation. You are comfortable working on-site, conducting field tests, and documenting your findings with precision. You communicate fluently in English and are eager to collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems. Our interview process includes a case study to help us understand your approach to testing and ensure you are a great fit for our mission.
Why you'll love it here
We offer a competitive base salary range of $85,000 to $120,000, with final placement determined by your specific experience and skills. Beyond the numbers, you will be joining a rapidly growing company where you can make a tangible impact. We foster a culture built on trust, accountability, and a growth mindset. If you are someone who values kindness, takes ownership of your outcomes, and believes that anything is possible when you challenge conventional thinking, you will find a supportive and dynamic home with us.
