Welcome to Blue Coding. For the past decade, we have specialized in connecting talented developers with innovative companies across the United States and Canada. Our team of over 100 engineers spans more than 10 countries, and we take pride in our diverse, highly connected culture. Whether we are collaborating on complex software projects or participating in team activities like trivia and movie nights, we prioritize honesty, efficiency, and mutual respect. We are currently looking for a skilled professional to join our growing community and help our clients build world-class products.
What is this role?
We are seeking a Mid-Level ETL Developer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a fully remote position that allows you to work from anywhere. You will be embedded with one of our key clients, a leader in global technology managed services, to help them modernize their data infrastructure by moving away from legacy tools and implementing robust solutions using AWS Glue, Redshift, and S3.
What will you do?
- Design, develop, and automate scalable ETL workflows using Python and AWS Glue to manage data ingestion and transformation.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineering and BI teams to ensure data flows from SQL sources into the Redshift data warehouse are clean, efficient, and well-documented.
- Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot data discrepancies, and optimize S3 storage to ensure cost-effective and reliable data management.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should be an independent problem solver with a strong eye for detail and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in English. We are looking for someone who brings the following qualifications:
- At least 3 years of professional experience as an ETL Developer, specifically with AWS cloud services like Glue, Redshift, and S3.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, with a preference for PySpark experience.
- A solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling and slowly changing dimensions.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
What's in it for you?
We believe in supporting our team members with a flexible and rewarding work environment. Benefits include:
- Competitive compensation paid in USD.
- A 100% remote work environment.
- Flexible hours that align with US time zones.
- The opportunity for a long-term professional engagement.
