The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced ETL Developer Lead to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis in Canada. In this role, you will take the helm of our ETL development efforts while working closely with one of our prestigious banking clients. You will be responsible for driving our data integration strategies and ensuring that our technical solutions align perfectly with our clients' business objectives. This is a unique chance to provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and help shape the data architecture that powers our digital transformation projects.
A day in the life
- You will design, build, and maintain complex ETL processes using Azure Data Factory to ensure seamless data transformation across various platforms.
- You will provide hands-on technical leadership, mentoring your team members and ensuring that everyone follows industry best practices for data integrity and performance.
- You will collaborate with data architects and business analysts to translate complex requirements into robust, scalable, and reliable data workflows.
Who you are
You are a seasoned professional with a passion for data and a proven ability to lead. We are looking for someone who brings the following to our team:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in ETL development, including at least 3 years in a lead capacity with a focus on Azure Data Factory.
- Deep proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and working with relational databases.
- Excellent communication skills, allowing you to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A strong sense of leadership and a commitment to mentoring others.
- Bonus points if you have experience with Microsoft Fabric or have worked within the banking and financial services sector.
- Fluency in English.
