We are looking for a dedicated Equipment Technician to join our Operations Engineering team in Malaysia. Our organization focuses on maintaining high-performance industrial systems, and we rely on our technical staff to ensure our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently. In this full-time, on-site role, you will play a critical part in keeping our production machinery in top condition while supporting our ongoing automation and improvement initiatives.
Key outcomes
- Provide rapid response for machine recovery whenever necessary to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular system monitoring and baseline performance checks, ensuring all technical issues are identified during operational maintenance.
- Deliver essential technical support for daily warehouse operations.
- Execute machine troubleshooting and component replacements according to established work instructions.
- Carry out preventive maintenance tasks on all production equipment and machinery.
- Perform test runs on systems to verify they are fully operational before handing them back to the production team.
- Ensure all measuring equipment is verified and maintained in good working order.
- Collaborate with automation engineers to manage machine spares and maintain an adequate inventory of critical parts.
- Maintain organized housekeeping for all maintenance tools and spare parts.
- Contribute to and participate in various continuous improvement projects.
- Investigate mechanical and electrical system problems to determine root causes.
- Work closely with Equipment Engineers to resolve major component failures.
- Assist with the setup of new production testers to support the standardization and optimization of our test platforms.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, with a solid understanding of automation and process control.
- At least 2 years of experience working within a maintenance team for industrial systems, though we also welcome applications from fresh graduates.
- Strong people management skills to work effectively within our team.
- A positive, collaborative mindset that contributes to a productive work environment.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Practical familiarity with TPM, PLCs, and general automation systems.
