We are currently seeking a senior Engineering Test Technician to join our on-site team in the United States. Key outcomes
- Partner with our engineering staff to validate and test EV powertrain systems and components for heavy-duty vehicles.
- Collaborate on the creation and execution of test protocols to ensure our designs meet performance benchmarks.
- Use diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot issues in batteries, electric motors, power electronics, and control systems.
- Analyze test data to identify performance trends and suggest design improvements.
- Design and implement specialized test fixtures for heavy-duty EV powertrains.
- Document findings and provide actionable recommendations based on your analysis.
- Calibrate and maintain testing hardware to ensure the highest levels of accuracy and reliability.
- Refine our testing methodologies and establish best practices for our powertrain systems.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in automotive testing, specifically with heavy-duty vehicles or EV powertrains.
- Strong technical proficiency with diagnostic software and hardware.
- Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, and system specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Capability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- A proven ability to build, repair, and diagnose mechanical assemblies even when formal documentation is not yet available.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks such as bending, kneeling, or climbing for infrastructure maintenance.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with data acquisition systems, particularly those utilizing CAN-based communication protocols and J1939.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $130,000 to $190,000, with final compensation determined by your specific experience, domain knowledge, and location. In addition to a competitive salary, we provide equity compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
