Are you ready to transform the automotive aftermarket with technology that simplifies how repair shops, distributors, and manufacturers connect? At PartsTech, we build innovative e-commerce solutions that make finding and ordering parts fast, accurate, and efficient. We are looking for a passionate leader to join our remote-first, venture-backed team and help us continue our mission of saving businesses valuable time.
What you bring
We are seeking a Lead Engineering Technical Lead to join us in a full-time capacity. You will be based anywhere, though please note our specific residency requirements below. In this role, you will guide our B2B SaaS product development, ensuring our architecture remains scalable and reliable while mentoring our global engineering team. Your core responsibilities include:
- Providing hands-on technical leadership for our distributed cloud-based applications while fostering a culture of trust and curiosity.
- Managing the full engineering lifecycle from initial design to final deployment, ensuring we deliver high-quality, maintainable code.
- Collaborating with cross-functional partners, including product managers and designers, to define technical requirements and prioritize features that meet our customers' needs.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess 6 to 8 years of engineering experience, with at least 2 to 4 years specifically in a technical leadership capacity. We are looking for someone with a strong background in full-stack development and B2B SaaS architecture. You should be proficient in Kotlin or Java, OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, and have experience with AWS, GraphQL, gRPC, and PHP/Symfony. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required, and an advanced degree is a plus. Because we operate as a global team, you must be comfortable leading in a follow-the-sun model and have experience de-escalating conflicts to build technical consensus. Please note that you must reside in the Eastern Time Zone of the US or Canada to be considered for this position.
What we offer
We offer a competitive compensation package with a starting salary range of $130,000 to $150,000 USD or $178,000 to $205,000 CAD, depending on your experience and location. As a member of our team, you will also enjoy the following benefit:
- Remote work flexibility.
How to Apply
If you are excited about building innovative tools for the automotive industry and want to work with a diverse, global team, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application to be considered for this opportunity, and we look forward to reviewing your background and experience.
