PartsTech is looking for an experienced Engineering Technical Lead to join our team on a contractor basis. We specialize in automotive e-commerce technology, providing a unified platform that connects repair shops, parts distributors, and manufacturers to streamline the aftermarket industry. Our mission is to make the process of finding and ordering parts faster and more accurate for businesses everywhere. As a remote-first, venture-backed company, we operate as a global team of self-starters, and we are currently seeking a leader to help drive the development and scalability of our B2B SaaS product.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical guidance to our global engineering team while fostering a culture built on trust, curiosity, and a customer-first mindset.
- Oversee the full engineering lifecycle of our B2B SaaS platform, from initial design through to deployment, ensuring our systems remain reliable and scalable.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to define technical requirements, prioritize new features, and resolve complex challenges to ensure high-quality delivery.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, with an advanced degree considered an asset.
- Six to eight years of professional engineering experience, including two to four years in a technical leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin or Java, along with experience using OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, React, GraphQL, gRPC, and PHP/Symfony.
- At least three years of experience with AWS, including knowledge of infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Kubernetes.
- Proven ability to manage global teams, resolve conflicts, and build consensus among stakeholders.
- Residency in the Eastern Time Zone of Canada.
What we offer
We provide a competitive annual salary range of $155,000 to $185,000 CAD. As part of our commitment to a flexible work environment, this position offers the benefit of remote work.
