At Eucalyptus we are reshaping healthcare from the ground up. We combine technology, thoughtful design and operational excellence to give patients faster access to the right clinical support for fertility, weight management, diabetes and mental health. Since our founding in Australia in 2019 we have supported more than 500,000 patients across five countries and raised over AUD$140 million from investors who backed Uber, Canva and Airbnb. Our four brands-Juniper, Pilot, Kin and Software-deliver personalised care at scale, and we are now expanding into new markets and retail experiences.
The role
We are hiring an Engineering Tech Lead to join our Product Growth team on a full-time, on-site basis in Sydney. This lead-level position calls for someone who can both write production code and guide a small group of engineers as we run rapid, data-driven experiments that improve acquisition and purchase funnels.
Core responsibilities
- Lead, coach and review the work of engineers on the Product Growth team while staying hands-on with React Native, React, TypeScript and GraphQL codebases.
- Partner daily with product managers, designers and commercial stakeholders to translate business goals into clear technical roadmaps and ship measurable improvements.
- Own planning, delivery and operational health for the team, ensuring experiments move from hypothesis to production quickly and reliably.
Skills and experience
- Several years leading or managing engineers in a growth-focused environment, or deep familiarity with experimentation, analytics and A/B testing practices.
- Strong communication skills that let you simplify complex topics for both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Hands-on experience with at least one area of our stack: React Native for mobile, React and TypeScript for web front-end, or TypeScript and GraphQL on the back end.
- Proven ability to balance new feature work, technical debt and scalability demands while collaborating across product and design teams.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving startup where priorities shift quickly and decisions must be made with incomplete information.
Compensation and benefits
- Equity compensation so you share directly in the company’s growth.
- Generous paid time off, flexible hours and an annual professional development budget.
- Company retreats, wellness programs and an employee assistance program that includes 20 weeks of paid parental leave for primary carers.
How to apply
If this description matches the kind of problems you want to solve and the team you want to grow with, we encourage you to apply. We value diverse backgrounds and will make reasonable adjustments to support you throughout the interview process.
