- Own the team's internal rituals, processes, and ways of working to ensure high performance.
- Architect and design scalable, reliable, and secure cloud systems that support our rapid growth.
- Adopt an experimental mindset, using data to test growth hypotheses and iterate on solutions in the real world.
Must-haves
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar engineering leadership role.
- Deep technical expertise as a full-stack developer, with proficiency in React, NodeJS, TypeScript, Java, Python, Postgres, CDK, and AWS.
- A proven ability to design and operate complex, highly scalable cloud architectures.
- Strong commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial spirit, with a track record of focusing on business outcomes rather than just implementation.
- Experience working in a data-driven environment where you have used customer insights to guide development.
- A kind, collaborative, and open-minded approach to leadership and team dynamics.
- Current residency in, or the ability to relocate to, Sydney or Auckland.
Benefits

- Participation in our Employee Share Option Program.
- Six weeks of paid annual leave.
- Progressive health and wellness support, including an annual wellness bonus and premium EAP access.
- Generous parental leave policy, including 12 weeks of paid leave for either caregiver.
- A $1,000 personal learning and development budget.
- Hybrid work flexibility, balancing office collaboration with remote work.
