About the Role

We are looking for an Engineering Team Lead for our Backend Platform to join us on a full-time basis. In this leadership role, you will guide our backend engineering team, shaping our architectural strategy while fostering a high-performing and inclusive culture. This position is perfect for a technical leader who enjoys bridging the gap between high-level system design and hands-on implementation to ensure our platform remains scalable, secure, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers, focusing on their professional development and maintaining a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
• Drive the strategic direction of our backend platform by aligning technical initiatives with broader business goals and product requirements.
• Actively contribute to the codebase, conduct code reviews, and provide architectural guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable software solutions.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should bring a blend of technical expertise and people-focused leadership skills:

• Proven experience as a technical leader with a strong background in backend development.
• Proficiency in PHP or the ability to adapt quickly to a PHP-based environment.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to manage architectural design while remaining hands-on with implementation.
• Demonstrated experience using Agile methodologies to refine processes and improve team output.
• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
