CodePath stands as the nation's largest educator of college computer science students. Over the past decade, we have trained more than 40,000 students across 1,000 universities, partnering with industry leaders like Amazon and Google to prepare the next generation of technical talent. We recently launched a $150 million initiative alongside Anthropic to build one of the most significant AI workforce programs globally. As we scale our operations to meet the rapid transformation of the industry, we are seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to help guide our technical roadmap. This is a 100% remote, full-time role open to candidates in the United States, Europe, Canada, and LATAM.
Key outcomes
- Manage the lifecycle of engineering projects by tracking active work, identifying blockers, and ensuring the team remains aligned on upcoming priorities.
- Take ownership of quality assurance by testing new builds, utilizing AI tools to automate repetitive tasks, and implementing Capybara tests.
- Oversee the bug pipeline by reproducing issues, prioritizing fixes, routing tasks to the appropriate engineers, and verifying resolutions.
- Serve as the primary liaison between our engineering, product, and internal stakeholder teams to maintain clear communication.
- Evaluate and implement necessary processes and rituals, balancing the need for structure against the goal of minimizing friction.
- Provide regular status reporting to ensure leadership and the wider team have visibility into our progress.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in project management, delivery, or QA roles, ideally within small engineering teams.
- Technical proficiency that allows you to work closely with developers, including the ability to read stack traces, reproduce bugs, and write automated test cases.
- Proven hands-on experience managing testing workflows and bug pipelines.
- A proactive approach to using AI tools to streamline and automate manual processes.
- Strong judgment regarding process design, with the ability to add structure only where it adds genuine value.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Comfort working in ambiguous environments where you can maintain momentum without relying on heavy internal processes.
- A genuine passion for education and a desire to contribute to our mission of creating economic opportunity.
Preferred qualifications
- Direct experience working with Ruby on Rails or Django codebases.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Capybara or RSpec.
- Experience collaborating with product managers and non-technical stakeholders.
- A track record of serving as the first project manager or QA hire within a growing team.
Compensation
The annual salary for this role is $140,000 to $178,000 for US-based applicants, with adjustments applied for those based in Canada, LATAM, and Europe. We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional growth, including:
