About the Role
We are searching for an Engineering Manager to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role is perfect for someone who is energized by building and leading teams. You will focus on mentoring individuals, coaching them through their professional growth, and collaborating with business stakeholders to provide clear direction. You will also work alongside other engineering leaders to improve our overall efficiency and ensure we deliver high-quality, predictable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and monitor the health of a team of five engineers while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Mentor and coach team members to elevate their skills and drive engineering excellence.
- Partner with stakeholders and other engineering leaders to define project plans, hire top talent, and ensure we consistently deliver effective solutions.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should bring a strong background in software development and a passion for leadership. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing and leading diverse teams.
- A track record of mentoring individuals and coaching them through career development.
- Hands-on experience refining development processes and delivering high-quality solutions on time.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information across various levels of the organization.
- Experience in risk management, problem-solving, and leading change.
- A willingness to dive into the code when necessary.
- While not required, experience with Go, JavaScript, Node, Docker, or Kubernetes is considered a plus.
Location
This position is based in Canada and operates on a hybrid work model.
