What you bring

As an Engineering Manager, you will serve as both a people leader and a technical problem-solver. You will be responsible for guiding our engineering teams through complex challenges while collaborating with product managers to deliver maximum value to our members. This is a full-time position based in the United Kingdom, operating under a hybrid work model. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct line management to software engineers to ensure they remain motivated, engaged, and high-performing.
• Taking technical stewardship of one or more engineering squads to ensure our platform remains operationally excellent.
• Hiring and developing top-tier talent while fostering a supportive and collaborative team culture.

Requirements

We are looking for an established engineer who possesses a strong blend of technical expertise and leadership experience. You should have a deep understanding of modern software development practices and a proven track record of designing scalable, performant systems. Proficiency in our core technology stack, including AWS Serverless, Node.js, and TypeScript, is essential. Beyond your technical skills, you should be a self-motivated individual who understands how to translate user experience into tangible business results. We value candidates who are comfortable providing technical coaching, navigating complex architectural decisions, and working closely with senior leadership to drive our engineering goals forward.
