Engineering Manager at NABIS

Nabis is the world's leading licensed cannabis wholesale platform, providing a vital bridge between hundreds of brands and retailers across California, New York, and Nevada. We are currently looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. Our mission is to modernize the cannabis supply chain through an innovative, technology-first approach. Backed by Y Combinator and a notable group of tech industry luminaries, we are scaling rapidly and seeking a leader who is passionate about building high-quality, scalable solutions while fostering an inclusive and high-performing engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and grow a talented team of engineers while cultivating a supportive and high-performing work environment.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of engineering projects, from technical design and planning to execution and delivery, ensuring alignment with our broader business goals.
• Champion engineering excellence by implementing best practices, conducting code reviews, and facilitating efficient Agile processes across the team.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with a strong background in software development and a proven track record in leadership. You should meet the following criteria:

• At least 8 years of experience in software engineering, including 3 or more years in a technical or people management role, ideally within a fast-paced startup.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with product, design, and leadership teams.
• Experience in driving technical consensus, implementing Agile methodologies, and scaling engineering teams in evolving environments.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
