At Merge, we are on a mission to transform how B2B companies handle integrations. The traditional approach to connecting with dozens of vendors is a massive drain on time and resources, often creating friction between product, sales, and engineering teams. Our Unified API solves this by allowing developers to deploy hundreds of integrations instantly. We are looking for an ambitious leader to join us as we scale our enterprise-grade software to support millions of users.
The role
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our automation engineering team on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a pivotal leadership role for someone who thrives in high-growth environments and is ready to guide a team dedicated to building the advanced tools that power our integration lifecycle. You will be responsible for the systems that simplify how we develop, test, and monitor our core products.
Core responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a core engineering team of six, fostering a culture centered on technical excellence, high quality, and professional growth.
- Drive the expansion of your team by managing the hiring process and supporting the career development of your engineers.
- Collaborate across the organization with product, sales, finance, and leadership teams to align your team's roadmap with our broader strategic goals.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong background in both technical contribution and people management. We look for the following qualifications:
- Two to four or more years of experience in engineering management, with a background as an individual contributor.
- A proven track record of managing high-performance teams containing both junior and senior talent within fast-paced, startup-like settings.
- Technical proficiency and familiarity with our stack, including Python, Django, React, Postgres, SQL, AWS, RDS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- A product-minded approach to leadership, with the ability to plan roadmaps, manage resource allocation, and balance complex cross-functional priorities.
Compensation and benefits
The cash compensation for this position ranges from $200,000 to $230,000. Final packages are determined by your unique experience, skill set, and certifications, and all employees are provided with an equity compensation package. Our benefits include:
- Full coverage for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- A 401k retirement plan.
- Unlimited PTO plus 10 company holidays.
- Complimentary dinner for those working past 7pm.
How to apply
If you are a driven leader who is passionate about building high-quality, scalable systems, we would love to hear from you. Please reach out to our team to discuss how your experience aligns with our vision for the future of B2B integrations.
