Engineering Manager at Pathstream

We are a mission-driven team of about 60 people looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join us in a full-time, hybrid capacity. In this role, you will lead a team of individual contributors focused on building the internal tools that power our business systems, including everything from scheduling and assessments to contact management and grading.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of four or more engineers while fostering a collaborative environment centered on continuous learning and technical ownership.
• Drive the execution of our technical roadmap for platform services, ensuring our tools remain scalable and reliable as we support our rapid business growth.
• Partner with our product engineering teams to ensure our internal platforms integrate seamlessly and provide the high-quality user experiences our clients expect.

Requirements

• You have 5 to 7 years of software engineering experience, including at least 4 years of hands-on technical work and 2 to 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
• You possess a strong background in building scalable systems and understand modern infrastructure, including Ruby on Rails, React, JavaScript, Docker, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• You are a proactive problem-solver who thrives in ambiguous environments and knows how to use data to make informed decisions.
• You have a proven ability to manage stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.

What we offer
