Engineering Manager at Job&Talent

What you bring

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for a full-time, remote position that can be based anywhere. You will play a pivotal role in our engineering department by leading a cross-functional team and driving the success of our platform. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Leading a team of 7 to 9 individual contributors, including backend, frontend, and mobile engineers, while overseeing their professional growth and interpersonal development.
• Taking full ownership of the end to end execution for your business domain, including architecture, code quality, QA, production deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborating with other managers, product designers, and tech leads to define organizational processes and ensure we maintain a high standard of product quality.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should be a seasoned leader with a strong technical background and a passion for building large-scale applications. We require at least 3 years of experience leading cross-functional teams with 5 or more direct reports, alongside 5 years of hands-on experience in shipping software. You should have a proven track record in a B2C or B2B2C product environment with millions of users. We are looking for candidates who are fluent in English and possess deep technical expertise, specifically in SQL, NoSQL databases, and event streaming technologies like Kafka. Experience with Agile methodologies and a commitment to maintaining high standards in code reviews and production monitoring are essential for this role.
