We are currently seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis in the United Kingdom. In this role, you will lead a squad of engineers, foster a collaborative culture, and help us build the future of banking.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a squad of 4 to 6 engineers, focusing on their professional development and ensuring they remain engaged and productive.
- Remove operational roadblocks and refine internal processes to ensure the team remains lean, efficient, and focused on delivering high-impact business outcomes.
- Maintain a strong technical presence by overseeing the delivery of large-scale systems and promoting a DevOps culture where the team takes full ownership of the products they build and run.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in designing and engineering large-scale systems, with at least 7 years of professional background in the field.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build trust across all levels of an organization.
- Proficiency with our core technology stack, including TypeScript, React, and Python.
- Experience working with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, BigQuery, and MySQL.
- Familiarity with modern testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, and pytest.
- A pragmatic mindset that prioritizes simple, effective solutions over unnecessary complexity.
