The opportunity

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our team in Canada. In this role, you will be the heartbeat of your product team, responsible for both the high-quality delivery of our services and the overall culture and morale of your engineers. You will act as a bridge between technical execution and business goals, ensuring that our team members are well-informed, supported, and empowered to do their best work. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will have a direct impact on our product roadmap and our company’s growth.

A day in the life

No two days are the same, but your focus will remain on driving excellence and fostering a supportive environment. You will spend your time on:

• Leading your team through the software development life cycle to ensure sprint and quarterly goals are met with high quality.
• Clearing roadblocks and bottlenecks while proactively solving problems to keep the development process moving smoothly.
• Managing the growth and well-being of your direct reports, which includes coaching, performance reviews, and fostering a positive team culture.

Who you are

You are a seasoned manager with a strong technical background and a passion for people. You communicate clearly in English and have a proven ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable delivery plans. You are comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment, and you bring the following to our team:

• A demonstrated track record of applying software engineering best practices to deliver successful features.
• Proficiency in using Jira and Confluence to manage workflows and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex technical issues under pressure.
• A history of mentoring team members and managing diverse skill sets with a focus on professional development.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, allowing you to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
