The role

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership position where you will guide a team of talented engineers in building the user-facing applications that allow our Fortune 500 customers to track their climate goals. You will bridge the gap between product strategy and technical execution, ensuring our frontend architecture remains scalable and robust. This role is approximately 20% management and 80% individual contribution, making it perfect for a leader who loves to stay close to the code while mentoring others.

Core responsibilities

• Cultivate a supportive, inclusive team culture that prioritizes the professional growth, career development, and overall well-being of every engineer.
• Own the quality and longevity of our codebase by advocating for flexible, scalable patterns and making pragmatic tradeoffs between business needs and technical foundations.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to refine our agile development processes, ensuring our workflows are efficient, sustainable, and effective for the entire team.

Skills and experience

We are looking for someone who brings a blend of technical mastery and empathetic leadership. You should have:

• At least 5 years of experience working with modern JavaScript and TypeScript libraries in a fast-paced production environment, including deep expertise in React, Redux, Jest, and React Testing Library.
• At least 2 years of experience leading small teams or pods, with a strong focus on frontend development.
• A solid grasp of frontend best practices, including state management, system architecture, and organizational standards.
• The ability to design and present technical solutions that incorporate team feedback and leverage the unique strengths of your colleagues.
• Experience with tools such as Cypress.io, Vite, Node.js, ElasticSearch, and Docker is highly valued.

Compensation and benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of 170,000 USD to 190,000 USD, plus equity compensation. In addition to financial rewards, we provide a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your life and career:
