Engineering Manager at Quizizz

We are Quizizz, a global learning platform dedicated to helping educators motivate students through innovative technology. Our tools are used in K-12, higher education, and corporate settings across more than 100 countries, reaching 75 million monthly active users. As a profitable, high-growth SaaS company backed by investors like Tiger Global and Nexus Venture Partners, we are looking for a senior Engineering Manager to join our team in India on a full-time, on-site basis. You will lead our Growth engineering team, helping us expand our global footprint and create localized, impactful learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a talented group of software engineers while defining technical standards, best practices, and coding conventions to ensure high-quality output.
• Take ownership of architectural decisions to ensure our systems remain scalable and maintainable while aligning with our long-term technology roadmap.
• Collaborate closely with founders, product leaders, and cross-functional teams to prioritize the growth roadmap and ensure the timely delivery of business objectives.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a Master’s degree considered a plus.
• At least 6 years of professional software development experience, including deep expertise in Golang and NodeJS.
• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role, with a proven ability to guide engineering teams.
• Strong technical background in distributed systems, microservices, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Redux, along with a solid understanding of modern UI/UX trends.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different departments.
