We are GiddyUp, a performance agency that has disrupted the traditional commercialization model through our proprietary global e-commerce and CMS platform. By connecting brands with shoppers worldwide, we have already generated over $1 billion in sales. We are currently looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. In this role, you will lead a talented group of five software engineers and an outsourced agency, reporting directly to our Head of Product. We need a hands-on leader who is eager to contribute to our codebase while mentoring our team and driving our technical strategy forward.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of backend and frontend engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment while guiding their professional development and career growth.
- Drive product delivery by collaborating with cross-functional teams to scope features, maintain high-quality code standards, and ensure we ship scalable, high-impact solutions.
- Oversee daily operations and platform infrastructure, managing engineering budgets, technical documentation, and sprint planning to ensure our systems remain performant and reliable.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong technical background and a passion for building scalable products. We look for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of relevant development or engineering management experience, ideally within a start-up environment.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience managing engineering teams, including providing mentorship and career planning.
- Proficiency with Agile methodologies and experience working with object-oriented languages.
- Technical fluency in our core stack, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, Laravel, and Django.
- Experience utilizing monitoring and infrastructure tools such as Datadog, Sentry, Stripe, and AWS S3.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, as is prior experience in the e-commerce sector or a Certified Scrum Professional designation.

As a fully remote company, we provide our team members with the autonomy to excel from anywhere, ensuring you have the tools and support needed to thrive in our fast-paced, performance-driven culture.
