We are looking for an Engineering Manager who is passionate about developer tools to help us scale this vision and lead the team defining the future of cloud programming.
Role at a glance
This is a full-time, remote-first position open to candidates based in the United States or Europe. As an experienced manager, you will lead our Ecosystem team, which sits at the vital intersection of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes, and the developer tools that power them. You will guide the engineers responsible for building providers and libraries that enable our massive community to innovate faster.
Your impact
- Lead and mentor a distributed team of engineers by setting clear objectives, maintaining high technical standards, and fostering an environment of continuous growth.
- Drive product strategy by collaborating with stakeholders to define roadmaps, manage project lifecycles, and ensure we deliver high-quality tools that solve real-world infrastructure challenges.
- Cultivate community by championing open-source contributions, representing our work in public forums, and ensuring our ecosystem remains vibrant and user-focused.
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of engineering leadership experience, specifically including hiring, performance management, and team mentorship.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working directly on developer tools.
- Strong technical familiarity with at least one major cloud platform or Kubernetes, plus a genuine interest in infrastructure as code and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- A passion for building developer-friendly solutions and an eagerness to explore new technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
