Engineering Manager at Cognite

What you bring

As a Senior Engineering Manager based in India, you will play a pivotal role in our full-time hybrid team. You will lead a group of engineers while maintaining a hands-on approach to our SaaS product development and data processing initiatives. Your daily contributions will center on the following core responsibilities:

• Managing and coaching a team of 5 to 10 engineers with diverse backgrounds to ensure high-impact delivery of services and applications.
• Collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and program managers to ensure our products meet high quality standards and deadlines.
• Actively participating in technical direction, code reviews, and documentation while staying deeply involved in solving user problems through product dogfooding.

Requirements

We are looking for a relentless problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong background in the IT or asset-heavy industries. You should have at least 5 years of professional experience, including a proven track record in people management and building large-scale data applications. We value candidates who demonstrate a collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills in English, and a genuine passion for developing the technical competencies of others. While not required, previous experience as a tech lead or product manager is considered a significant advantage.
