The opportunity

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team. We care less about rigid titles and more about finding the right person who has a genuine passion for empowering engineers to build exceptional product experiences. You will play a vital role in coaching our cross-functional teams, which consist of engineering, product, and design experts. Working with our primary tech stack, including AWS, Kubernetes, Python, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Kafka, Kinesis, React, Node.js, and TypeScript, you will help us refine our processes and ensure we are always leaving our systems better than we found them.

A day in the life

• You will coach and support one or more domain teams of software engineers, helping them grow their craft while managing their performance and career development.
• You will partner closely with distributed product managers and designers to define new functionality, eliminate technical debt, and ensure we are meeting our customer needs.
• You will own delivery outcomes, guide the evolution of our development processes, and foster an environment of continuous innovation and experimentation.

Who you are

You are a servant leader who thrives on fostering an inclusive culture where everyone can do their best work. You have a solid grasp of technology at scale and understand how to balance the need for high-quality, scalable solutions with the realities of business outcomes. You are comfortable working in a remote environment and are fluent in English. Your background includes:

• Demonstrable experience leading and developing high-performing engineering teams.
• A proven track record of building and deploying production-scale platforms in collaboration with product and design partners.
• Strong delivery capability, with the ability to navigate conflicting priorities and build shared roadmaps.
• A hypothesis-driven mindset that uses data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
• A solid understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud-native concepts, and modern DevOps practices.
