What is this role?
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join us in a full-time, remote capacity. This is an executive-level position where you will serve as a builder for our builders. You will lead a foundational, multi-discipline team as we replace legacy financial systems with modern, robust technology. Because our platform serves a broad base of Canadian users, fluency in English is required for this role.
What will you do?
- Empower your team by ensuring engineers are productive, happy, and working on meaningful projects that align with our technical and product goals.
- Mentor and grow your team members while actively participating in the hiring process to bring in top-tier engineering talent.
- Stay hands-on by reviewing code and contributing directly to development efforts while coordinating complex, full-stack projects across the company.
What makes you a great fit?
We are looking for a leader who thrives in high-growth environments and can bridge the gap between technical execution and business strategy. You should have approximately 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years spent in management or leadership roles. We value strong communication and collaboration skills, as you will work closely with product, design, legal, and support teams. While not strictly required, experience with Node.js, TypeScript, React Native, Postgres, and Docker is highly beneficial, as is a background in financial services or cryptocurrency.
