Engineering Manager at Atlas Health

At Atlas Health, we are dedicated to improving health equity and patient outcomes by automating access to philanthropic aid. Our platform connects patients to over 20,000 programs, helping them afford the care they need while reducing the financial burden of medical debt. We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our remote-first team and help us scale our impact. What you'll be doing

• Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight for both our backend services and frontend development projects.
• Manage and mentor a talented group of developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
• Balance your time between high-level management and hands-on coding, ensuring our systems remain robust as we evolve.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you should be a seasoned engineer with a strong background in building scalable systems. We are looking for someone who possesses the following skills and experience:

• Expertise in backend development using Golang and the Gin framework, along with experience in data modeling and database interactions using tools like SODA/POP.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing GraphQL APIs, ideally using Apollo.
• Strong experience with React for building dynamic and responsive user interfaces.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes for application deployment and management, including familiarity with tools like Argo and OKD.
• A solid understanding of CI/CD practices and tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and building high-performing engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across various internal and external stakeholder groups.
• Fluency in English.
