What is this role?

We are searching for an Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a leadership position where you will report directly to the Director of Engineering. You will lead our Growth squad, acting as a central figure for both people management and technical guidance. This role is available as a hybrid position, and we are open to candidates located anywhere.

What will you do?

• Mentor and lead a team of talented engineers, serving as both a supportive people manager and a hands-on technical partner.
• Foster a culture of rapid experimentation and iteration to gain deeper insights into customer behavior and improve our product effectiveness.
• Collaborate with leadership to refine our engineering processes and cultural practices, ensuring our team remains cohesive and high-performing.

You are an experienced engineering leader who thrives in environments that prioritize growth and experimentation. You have a strong track record of building and running high-velocity tests, and you are comfortable switching between different programming languages and frameworks. We value candidates who possess strong systems-thinking skills and a genuine passion for professional development.

While we work with a variety of technologies, it is helpful if you have experience with the following:

• Programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, Swift, or Objective C.
• Database and caching technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Principles like Domain Driven Design and CQRS.
• Previous work within the restaurant-tech industry.
