The opportunity

We are searching for a strategically minded and highly organized Engineering Manager to lead our Platform team. In this full-time role, you will report directly to our Head of Engineering and guide a talented group of Python engineers who build the backend for our user-facing applications. You will balance technical oversight with project management and team leadership to ensure we deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. This is a hybrid position based in the United States, requiring a commitment to our collaborative team environment.

A day in the life

• You will lead and mentor a team of Python engineers, fostering a culture of innovation while conducting performance reviews and supporting professional growth.
• You will oversee the implementation of software development best practices, including rigorous code reviews, testing, and thorough documentation of architectural choices.
• You will act as a bridge between the development team and other departments, ensuring clear communication and efficient project delivery using tools like Jira and Notion.

Who you are

You are a leader who thrives in a startup environment and possesses a deep passion for our mission. You bring a strong technical foundation and the interpersonal skills necessary to build and retain a high-performing team. Your background includes:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Python, with a focus on building scalable and performant systems.
• Strong proficiency in project management and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively in English.
• A collaborative mindset with a focus on mentorship and building inclusive team cultures.
