Engineering Manager at TaxBit

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. Founded in 2018 by a team of CPAs, tax attorneys, and software developers, TaxBit is building a new category of software to enable the compliant adoption of digital assets within the global economy. Our SaaS platform automates tax reporting and accounting for digital assets, serving a diverse client base that includes government agencies like the IRS, Big 4 accounting firms, and major enterprises. As we continue to scale, we need leaders who can foster talent, drive technical excellence, and help us navigate a complex regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily rhythm and standups for one or more engineering teams to ensure consistent delivery.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define objectives and key results while maintaining a strong focus on customer needs.
• Mentor junior and senior team members through regular 1-on-1s, performance feedback, and active participation in our hiring processes.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should bring a strong background in software development and team leadership. We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• At least 10 years of professional software engineering experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a people management role leading high-performing teams.
• Over 4 years of experience building cloud-based SaaS products.
• Proficiency in AWS or similar cloud architectures.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps and SRE systems.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems in an early-stage environment.
• Experience working with security and compliance teams to manage sensitive data.
