We are looking for an Engineering Manager who thinks holistically, acts with curiosity, and is driven to take ideas from inception to completion. Key outcomes
- Lead and scale a high-performing engineering team while identifying and filling talent gaps.
- Foster a supportive, collaborative culture that emphasizes open communication and high-quality outcomes.
- Oversee team performance across technical excellence, reliability, and execution speed.
- Partner with the product team to define roadmaps and ensure we deliver a delightful experience for our customers.
- Refine agile processes to boost team efficiency and productivity.
- Manage personnel development, including career planning, mentorship, and performance reviews.
- Establish and maintain engineering standards, policies, and best practices.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of development experience in a startup environment, with 2 or more years of direct people-management experience.
- Proven ability to define clear deliverables and manage multiple priorities in complex, high-growth settings.
- Strong technical background in NodeJS, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
- Deep expertise in API development and familiarity with authentication standards like OAuth.
- Solid understanding of system design, distributed systems, and testing best practices.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Experience working in a remote-first environment and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS.
