The role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an executive-level position where you will play a pivotal role in shaping our engineering culture and building high-quality digital coaching platforms. You will work closely with product and technology leadership to mentor our engineering team, providing the support and guidance necessary for both individual and group growth. This role is remote, though we are currently only accepting applicants based in the United States.

Core responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers, establishing high technical standards and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment.
• Partner with product and design teams to define and execute on key business metrics and OKRs, ensuring we deliver high-impact features.
• Drive long-term technical strategy by guiding discussions on architecture, managing technical debt, and ensuring the scalability of our web applications.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Over 10 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity within an agile environment, and a degree in a STEM field.
• Deep technical expertise in React, TypeScript, and Python.
• Strong proficiency in building RESTful and GraphQL web services, along with experience using AWS cloud infrastructure.
• A solid understanding of testing methodologies, security best practices, and design systems.
• Experience with Git and a track record of optimizing applications for performance and reliability.
