The role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our KYC & Eligibility team on a full-time basis. This is a management-level position based in France, operating in a hybrid capacity. You will be responsible for the systems that handle customer onboarding and identity verification, ensuring our users can access our platform seamlessly and securely. This role is a blend of technical leadership and strategic oversight, requiring you to balance complex compliance requirements with a high-quality user experience.

Core responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy for our KYC and eligibility platform to ensure it remains scalable, reliable, and efficient.
• Mentor and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, transparency, and continuous growth.
• Partner with Product, Compliance, and Risk teams to integrate third-party identity verification providers and optimize our onboarding workflows.

Skills and experience

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering and team leadership. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Proven experience leading engineering teams, specifically within identity verification, fraud prevention, or KYC domains.
• Strong technical foundation in system architecture and software development, with hands-on experience using JVM languages like Java or Kotlin.
• Familiarity with industry-standard identity verification providers and a deep understanding of security, compliance, and fraud detection best practices.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools to drive data-informed decisions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• A passion for the cryptocurrency space and the transformative potential of blockchain technology.
