About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will lead our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. This position focuses on managing the roadmap, maintaining infrastructure, and improving our monitoring capabilities. You will play a vital role in organizing our on-call incident response and collaborating with cross-functional departments to ensure operational excellence and financial accountability across our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the vision and roadmap for SRE cloud engineering while fostering a culture of automation, security, and DevOps best practices.
- Manage the on-call incident response rotation to ensure swift resolution of system challenges and maintain high infrastructure performance.
- Mentor and coach a global team of SRE talent, leading recruitment efforts and conducting performance assessments to ensure team health and productivity.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent demonstrated learning experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in people management or a technical leadership role.
- Hands-on technical experience with SRE and cloud engineering.
- Proficiency with Linux server environments, microservices architecture, Kubernetes, and major cloud providers such as AWS.
- Strong communication skills in English, with French language proficiency considered an asset.
- Experience managing on-call rotations and incident response methodologies.
Location
This role is based in Canada. We operate under a flexible hybrid working model, and we encourage in-person collaboration at our office locations, with a preference for candidates located in the Greater Montreal Area.
