The opportunity

We are looking for a talented and driven Engineering Manager to join our team in Palo Alto, California. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a platform engineering team, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact projects. You will act as a mentor and guide, fostering a collaborative culture while working alongside cross-functional teams to achieve our broader business objectives. Whether you are working on scalable indexers, developer tools, or financial services, you will play a vital part in shaping the future of our ecosystem.

A day in the life

• Take ownership of your team's strategic direction by developing clear roadmaps, sharing progress updates, and ensuring your team remains engaged with the wider mission at Aptos.
• Amplify the impact of your team members by understanding their individual goals and passions, then connecting them with the best opportunities to contribute to our success.
• Establish effective design review processes and set performance expectations to ensure that all projects are executed to a high standard.

Who you are

You are a seasoned leader with at least 2 years of management experience, ideally with a background in supporting teams of senior engineers. You possess a deep interest in cryptocurrency, NFTs, and internet culture, and you are comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. You have strong technical proficiency and are capable of identifying problems, designing solutions, and performing engineering work when necessary. You are also a clear communicator who can effectively engage with our team, the community, and third-party partners. Proficiency in languages such as Rust, Move, or TypeScript is essential for this role.
