What you bring

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead our Prod Finance and Compliance team in a full-time, remote capacity from anywhere between UTC -1 and +3. You will oversee a team of up to six engineers, ensuring our systems for KYC, anti-money laundering, and treasury operations remain scalable and compliant. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with product managers to define project scopes and set clear objectives.
• Providing technical mentorship and guidance to help your team build high-quality, reliable systems.
• Fostering a positive, collaborative team culture while facilitating effective engineering processes.

Requirements

We are looking for a leader who is fluent in English and has at least one year of experience managing a software engineering team. You should have a background in backend server development, strong technical design skills, and proficiency with SQL. Experience working on a compliance-focused team is essential, as is a proven ability to coach engineers, manage performance, and work closely with product stakeholders to deliver results. Our ideal candidate values simple, straightforward architecture over complex, shiny technology and is comfortable working with our stack, which includes Python, Postgres, Kubernetes, and React.
