We are Glean, a fast-growing SaaS company dedicated to building study software that boosts learner confidence and academic success. With a team of over 100 people based out of our Leeds headquarters, we support hundreds of thousands of students across more than 800 institutions worldwide. We are currently searching for a Senior Engineering Manager to join us on a full-time, hybrid basis as we work toward our mission of helping one million students become better learners by 2026.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire high-performing product squads by fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to define and execute a clear technical strategy that aligns with our broader business objectives.
- Mentor team members and manage skill development, ensuring our squads remain empowered, inclusive, and effective at delivering high-quality, maintainable software.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with modern software development methodologies and the ability to adapt your approach to fit specific team dynamics.
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and building collaborative, high-trust environments.
- Strong communication abilities, specifically the capacity to bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- A demonstrated passion for continuous improvement and a commitment to fostering an inclusive culture where every team member feels heard.
What we offer
The salary for this position is £70,000 - £80,000, depending on your experience. We provide a supportive environment that prioritizes your well-being and professional growth, including:
