Engineering Manager at Hunch

We are Hunch, a Series A startup that recently secured $23 million to redefine social discovery for the post-AI era. As one of the top 50 social apps in India with a growing presence in the US, we are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor our QA, Frontend, and API teams, ensuring that everyone is aligned with our engineering best practices and company goals.
• Oversee the technical architecture for our Flutter-based frontend and Node.js and Python backend systems to ensure they remain scalable and reliable for our millions of users.
• Partner with product and design stakeholders to manage project roadmaps, prioritize feature deliveries, and drive a culture of ownership and high performance.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in managing cross-functional engineering teams within a fast-paced environment. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Proven experience managing QA, frontend, and backend teams, ideally within a consumer-facing social application.
• Hands-on technical expertise with Flutter for mobile development and backend technologies like Node.js and Python.
• A deep understanding of software architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage complex projects from initial concept through to deployment.
• A results-oriented mindset focused on maintaining high standards and fostering innovation.
