With a global presence spanning Dublin, Philadelphia, Belgrade, and Sydney, our mission is to put the customer experience at the center of every decision we make. We pride ourselves on choosing the best solutions rather than the easy ones, and we foster a supportive, collaborative culture where individual and team achievements are celebrated. We are looking for passionate people who want to deliver work they can be proud of while having fun along the way.
The role
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in either our Dublin or Belgrade offices. This is a vital leadership position where you will act as a technical role model and guide our engineering group. You will lead a team of talented engineers to design and deliver a high-quality, scalable learning management system while helping us maintain and grow our unique company culture.
Core responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of engineers to help them grow their skills and reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with product, partnerships, and engineering stakeholders to drive the execution of our technology roadmap.
- Participate in and facilitate high-level technical and design discussions, ensuring we maintain a high bar for craftsmanship and innovation.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should bring a blend of technical expertise and leadership capability. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in technical management.
- A minimum of 5 years of programming experience, specifically in object-oriented languages such as Java, Ruby, C#, or C/C++.
- Extensive experience with web application development.
- Strong knowledge of modern software architecture, including security, scalability, and performance best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and business teams.
Compensation and benefits
We offer a supportive work environment with a focus on professional growth and well-being. Our benefits package includes:
- Competitive salary and company ESOP.
- Employer-contributed pension and private health insurance.
- 25 days of annual leave plus an additional company wellness day.
- Flexible working arrangements.
- A structured learning environment with clear paths for career progression.
- Regular team events in a fun, collaborative atmosphere.
