We are moving from a services-based model to a true tech product company, and we need your leadership to help us define our core engineering decisions. Our mission is to provide stability and professional services to the essential workers who keep our world running, and we are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to help us scale that impact.
What you'll be doing
- Lead a cross-functional team of 7 to 9 engineers, including backend, frontend, and mobile specialists, to drive the success of a specific business domain.
- Take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery process, including architecture, code reviews, quality assurance, production deployments, and ongoing monitoring.
- Support the professional growth of your team members while fostering a healthy, collaborative environment and resolving any interpersonal challenges that arise.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should be comfortable working in English and possess the following experience:
- At least 3 years of experience leading cross-functional engineering teams with 5 or more direct reports.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience building and shipping large-scale applications.
- At least 3 years of experience in a product engineering environment, specifically within a B2C or B2B2C company that serves millions of users in production.
- At least 2 years of experience managing the full execution lifecycle of features using Agile methodologies.
- Technical proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as experience with event streaming technologies like Kafka.
